I know when I'm hungry

I've noticed people commenting that they can't really tell when they are hungry, but I can.
When I'm hungry the intestines located just below my belly button growl, gurgle and feel uncomfortable. Sometimes I get nauseated, too. I eat some protein or drink some milk and that feeling goes away in a bit. Voila. Hunger appeased.
Does anyone else have this experience?

Yes, it started yesterday morning and won't go away.  Eating doesn't help it at all and sometimes makes it worse.  I feel like I am starving all the time, very sharp hunger pain feeling.  It was intense enough that it kept me awake for hours last night.  It went from annoying and uncomfortable to painful today.  I am just 11 days out so assumed it was just my guts adjusting to the surgery but dang it actually hurts and I have a very high tolerance for pain.  I also have this distended belly, really upper abdomen that is getting painful and tender anytime I eat or drink.  Planning on calling doc tomorrow just to make sure it is all normal surgery stuff and not something I should be concerned about.

I know when I'm hungry, and did from the start. I learned pretty quickly how to listen to myself, and understand the cues to know when I'm full which helps me stay within my daily allowances.  I don't think it's a bad thing, in fact  I think we're lucky in this regard because we get extra training for the long haul.
