I am a dental hygienist so I typically see my patients every 6 months. They are starting to comment a little more on my weight loss lately..although I have gotten a lot of "I really like your hair" in the last few months. Today a woman looked at me and did a double take she said" what's different about you? Are you getting younger?" I loved it

So crazy, I am in the dental field too!  Dental Assistant and Office Coordinator.  I am getting the same remarks from patients who we see every 3-6 months.  I love it.  It makes me feel young again!!!

i feel like i look older, although this isn't necessarily the worst thing at 26. my round face gave me more of a squishy baby face. now i think it's rather sallow looking most days. also with my hair thinner i feel like it makes me look older.

I'm a dental hygienist too! Half my patients don't recognize me or half recognize me and insist on wanting to know how i lost it. I see about 30 patients a day so  the constant questions can be annoying. But i also get a lot of "wow you look like your 16" which is great because I was afraid I was gonna look older after losing all the weight.

30 patients???? That's a lot even with 2 rooms and an assistant!

That's a major NSV!  Looking younger is always awesome and many of us have been fortunate for that to happen after our WLS.  I'm glad it happened for you ...  I hope your NSVs and blessings continue to grow and grow!

Younger is good... .  I've been noticing the new wrinkles on my face with the loss of weight, but this past weekend I saw a group of friends I hadn't seen for two months, and several of them said I looked so much younger.  I'll take it --- enjoy their reactions!!  It's funny -- when I had lost about 30-40 lbs several people commented on my hair (guess they couldn't figure out what was different, even though the hair was exactly the same!).  Now, they definitely know its the weight.  Isn't it fun?
