When the doctor ok's beef back into the diet...do you guys eat hamburger patties or stay away from them?  I'm getting close..and I want a burger so bad!!!  I figured I would have to go without the bun...but gosh I want a burger!  Hoping to get some input from people who have recently started eating regular foods and people who have been on a regular diet for awhile..

I stay away from them because I don't eat meat, but I do eat veggie burgers, sometimes with a bun, sometimes without.  If I eat them on a bun, I eat maybe half.  I can eat more of the burger if I don't eat the bun, of course.

Ive made patties out of 96% lean ground beef and had it. I was 3 months out when I had it the first time.

I have already eaten a hamburger pattie , how I make mine so they are VERY moist , lean beef 3 triangles of laughing cow cheese I really like the blue cheese but the original works great ( for 1 lb) seasoning mix , it will be mushy , brown on both sides then add water to steam and cover till done, you might be able to eat it as a "hamburger" instead of a bun you could use lettuce , I just eat it plain.
Have fun

I definetly miss hamburgers especially a homemade one. I have tried making myself mushy meatloaf but it doesnt agree with me. Though  I m looking forward to trying some new turkey burgers and veggie burgers they have out. I am hoping a ways down the road I can have burgers again.

I eat them all the time.  I used 85-95% lean and cook them medium.  I don't eat bread much so I have it with some horseradish sauce or blue cheese on top.  When I started eating them, I could only eat an ounce or two.  Now I can make 4 patties from a pound and eat a whole one, but not much else, maybe some salad.

Your very best bet will always be to ground your own prime beef and shape your own patties.  HOWEVER, honestly, I've had no problems with beef.  I tolerate it much better than chicken, and have since Day 20 when I was first cleared for mushies.  I do seem to need it to be really moist, so I don't go 96% fat free....  85% seems to be about right.  Then again, I don't dump on fat so far (I also don't go around eating the fat off my meat, though).

I love hamburger patties, I make them on the Foreman grill and put cheese in the middle of two thin patties before I grill them...so moist and so flavorful.

Try meatballs too, they have also been satisfying for me.

But I have been fortunate that I can tolerate just about any meat I try.

I stuck with ground turkey burgers initially, but lean hamburger is not far from it fat and calorie wise.  I just make sure that they are moist and soft, even now, because they can tend to get dry and stick.

I finally ate one, well half, from in n out, but I ordered it protien style, which is essentialy bun free and with out the sauce. They wrap it in lettuce and I did ok with it, but surprisingly I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would.
