Anyone mix a banana with their protein shake? I just put a 1/2 a banana with a premier Vanilla protein shake and it was pretty good. Wasn't sure if this was allowed on a bariatric diet.

I don't know why it wouldnt' be allowed... but I'm not a nutritionist or dietitian.
That said - I used to add 1/2 banana to my chocolate shake on my way to early mornings at the gym so I could have carbs and protein. Banana seems to disagree with me now, so I have stopped.

Allowed?  You can eat (or try to eat) anything you want. You're an adult. There isn't some Bariatric SWAT Team that swoops down and forces you to run laps or something if you eat something bad.   I tease.  But you can try anything you want.  You have to use your best judgment.

That being said the only caution I would give is that bananas have a lot of sugar.  And the riper the banana the more sugar.  So naturally, more carby.  And if you dump it might make you do that.  But keeping it to a half was a really good choice.

Bananas are ok but high in carbs and sugar.  Are they on your list yet?  How far out are you?  Everyone plan is different but bananas weren't on ours for quite a while.

it's crazy how different all the plans are.  bananas were listed on mine at 2 weeks out as part of the puree stage.

INDEED!!

It's what makes my ISO-PURE Zero Carb Creamy Vanilla protein shake that much more palatable...I'll even add a teaspoon of creamy peanut butter if I think it needs that much jazzing up...

I can eat bananas, I can have protein shakes. Put them together and I get a very uncomfortable yuk feeling in my pouch. It's not dumping, it's just too much for me.
