Protein Drinks
This morning I tried the Unjury vanilla with 8 oz. skim milk. Not too bad, kind of on the sweet side and a funky after taste. Then hubby and I went to Costco to do some shopping and check out what they carry for after my surgery. They were giving samples of the RTD Premiere vanilla and chocolater--GROSS, GAG, YUK!!! They care Muscle Milk lite which is one of the proteins that my dietician recommends post op, but I couldn't see any whey protein in the ingredients???
What is everyone elses experience? What do you like for protein? I was going to order a starter pack of the syntrax and ttry that too.

just order samples for now because your tastes may change after surgery. Lots of people say their taste changed drastically - I haven't had any change at all.
I like:
Current Favorite - Syntrax Matrix 2.0 Mint Cookie (YUM) you can order it through the Netrition link on Nik's site www.bariatricfoodie.com
Also rans: CHIKE vanilla, banana, chocolate; Syntha6 Strawberry, Chocolate Cake Batter (Tastes like PURE and PURE is cheaper and in the stores), Cookies N Creme; About Time; PURE Frosty chocolate

To be honest I never really liked any of them. It's hard to meet your protein needs early out so that's why they are so encouraged. I would say try samples and also be prepared to have your tastes change after surgery. Mine did. I could choke down the Premeire choclate is they were really cold and I drank them out of a straw.
It encouraged me to find ways to eat my protein so I wouldn't have to do shakes.
Both Nik and theworldaccordingtoeggface.com have great sites with recipes to doctor up your shakes.
