Ok, I am 2 weeks post-op and can eat soft foods.  I made myself a single egg omlet with some shreaded cheese for breakfast.  Oh how I have missed the taste of food, it was delicions!  I have not eaten any real food in a month so this was a real treat.  Note to self, I need to keep water away from me when eating!  Without even thinking I took a small drink of water right after my meal....that was painful!  I used to drink at least two or three galsses of water with every meal so this will be a real challenge.  During my post op the doctor said to drink my protein and water all at the same time, don't seperate.  Now on reagular food I need to start to retrain myself.

That was my first "meal" too.  It was heavenly.

I still struggle with drinking during meals.  I swear I am thirstiest during meals.  I am really focusing on the change, but it is hard when, like you, I used to drink 2-3 glasses a day.
