Missed my calcium citrate today...
...so today began well enough (got up with plenty of time to get 30 minutes of walking in before all other morning obligations...cue PGA tournament gallery clap) but from there I let events dictate my schedule and in the process, forgot to take the tablets of calcium citrate (a quantity that equals 1500 mg) that I crush and dissolve in my water w/ Crystal Light.
I've already taken in more than my 64 oz. of fluid and I have a sneaking suspicion that it probably wouldn't be very good for my system to get the full 1500mg over the course of an hour...and I'm not sure that I could put away another 64 oz. of fluids anyway (not sure that would even be advisable by itself)...
Everything else I took as per instructed: multivitamin, metformin, Vit D, Vit B-12....
I'm guessing missing a day of any one of these as an isolated incident doesn't pose much of a health risk, but I would appreciate some insight from anyone who has done the same....
Thanks so much in advance.

for people that dont have surgery they take years, for us they can happen in 1 month, 3 months it all depends on the vitamin and how much are takign or not taking and what is really needed.
the best example is vitamin B12 - I had a great number of 1800 should have had plenty of room to go down when I got sick but I didnt. I went into the hospital for 2 months with complications and they were busy saving my life and not thinking about my B12 - they did check my levels I know atleast once because I got vitamin drip with B12, B1, magnesium and vitamin C - not sure if there were other B's but I think there were.
Well, when I went to my surgeon for follow up to get my staples out and in the 2 months I was in the hospital (and I was already supplementing for 2 weeks when I got home) - I had plummeted from 1800 to 400, which means I was even lower than that because I do injections - 3 times per weeek and I had already done several of the injections and it only went to 400. So, my surgeon kind of freaked out and told me to start my injections daily for 2 weeks adn then go back to my normal 3 times per week. I was at risk for nerve damage and I did have some tingling

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
A single day... you'll be fine.
But it is a wake up call to figure out a way to keep your meds on schedule. For me, the night before I put each dose of meds into an am/pm container, so I have 3 per day, and take SOMETHING every 3 hours. The next container is always in my pocket, or hanging from my belt (being a guy, I don't think you want a cute little Coach mini skinny hanging from your belt, but hey...) because that keeps me on track. Other people set alarms on their phones, or keep their next set on the desk in front of them.
Whatever works for you.

the 1500mg of calcium needs to be taken in 3 doses - you cant absorb more than 650mg at one time and the doses need to be atleast 2 hours apart and they cant be within 2-4 hours of any iron or thyroid medicaitons.
why are you disolving it in water? Doesnt it taste lousy? If you cant swallow pills you can get chewables from bariatric advantage that actually taste like candy - they are either lozenges that you can chew and something called chewies, they are like starburst. The lozenges are 500mg each taken 3-4 times per day and the chewies are 250mg, so you take 2 of them 3-4 times per day. You can also mix and match. they will send you a sample pack to see what you like
if you can swallow pills - you can get citrical - petites or maximums - petites are 3 tablets - 3 times per day and the maximums are 2 tablets 3 times per day.

Missing one day's worth of calcium citrate will not hurt you at all.
For future reference, you don't want to take 1500 mg all at once. You can only absorb about 500 mg at a time. Doses need to be taken at least two hours apart.
