Just wondering

I am almost three weeks post-op and tried to eat an scrambled egg and was only able to eat about a quarter of it.  Is this abnormal?  After eating that much it hurt just under my diaphragm for about 30 minutes but then felt ok.  I guess it was just telling me I was full.

You'll find on OH that everyone is different as to what and the amount they can eat.  I'm not able to eat much at a meal.  At 3 wks I was eating at the same rate as you.  I can eat a small chicken tender but nothing else at a meal now.  I'm happy with it for one or two bites and my hunger is gone.  Most of the day I am not hungry at all so I have to make sure I eat.  I'd rather be as this than hungry all the time.

It is normal, but it is also normal if someone can eat a whole egg.  Everyone is different so there is a wide variety in what's normal.  Also, some people don't tolerate eggs well for some reason that early out.  If it hurts, quit eating it.  Try it again in a week or so.

Eggs can be tough for some people.  I do OK at 7 months with scrambled eggs, but hard boiled get stuck every time.

You might want to hold off on eggs for a week or two and then try again.  You may do fine the next time.  Sounds like the egg got stuck, whch is what would cause the pain.

Oh, and make sure you chew really well.
