Well the surgeon showed me my CAT scan & my calcium pill was sitting whole in my rectum. So now I'm gonna have to switch to chews or liquid. What do you all use?

So does that mean surgery to remove it? What an eye opener that is... I gotta make sure I get the chewable kind.

Just means I did not absorb it. Fun fun! I asked about when I will be having my labs done & he said they don't check labs till 6 months post op. Seriously? That seems like a long time to wait, but what do I know.

I got my Bariatric Advantage chewable calcium citrate wafers today (from Vitalady). They're chocolate and not bad. I used to be very particular about chocolate, but now even this chalky stuff tastes really good. The BAs have 500 mg Ca.

I can't say the chewable irons I bought are good, though. They taste like...well, like iron. Iron with mint and sweetener. They're the Vitalady, Inc Tender Iron wafers.

Thanks! Yeah I'll have to check out her site. I'll need to start taking sublingual B12's as well, as I have had it come out whole as well.

Maybe this was a blessing because it will also change the way you are going to take your B-12. It has to be taken sublingually,  by nasal spray or by injection. We don't have enough intrinsic factor in our stomachs to take a whole pill and have it absorb. A B-12 deficiency can cause serious irreversible neurological damage.

BTW, I Love my Opurity Calcium.

I use Sugar Free Tums. I take 3 a day which is what my surgeon recommended. And they are Orange flavored so they are really good compared to all the multi vitamin's I have tried they are all horrible I think!
