Ok I know a whole bunch of ya gonna click based on the Subject and the fact I started it but I hate to disappoint!

Last week I was a slacker on doing a workout thread here as I was prepping for Sunday's race and this week has been not the greatest BUT!

Today I was able to hammer out 6 miles in 60 minutes so who else is getting it done!

Haven't heard of them.  Looks like another minimalist shoe that will help you with a mid-sole strike.  For me mid-sole feels un natural and I would probably screw more things up trying to convert.  I talked to my ortho and therapis both about changing and their opinions were that you need to go with what feels natural and most comfortable for you.  Maybe as a progress as a Runner I will look at possibly newtons or Zoots but for now My Mizuno's with the wave plate technology handle my gorilla heel strike pretty well.

I'm doing arms, back, and abs in the gym today. I usually lift for an hour or so. I'm taking a cardio day off since tomorrow is...wait for it...my FIRST 5 K!!!!!  Yay!!!!

I am my own hero...I save myself one day, one meal, one bite, one choice, one challenge, one step at a time...

Put in just over 4 miles on the treadmill last night -- well, I think I did, my treadmill's display was acting up.  Friday nights are usually busy, but hoping that Saturday, I can get some miles in.

I wasn't able to get my walk in this morning because I had to kick out five lunches for my daughter's teachers and get them to the school in time.

I'll have to get out and walk later today.  6 miles in 60 minutes?  You're a machine.

I am not in the gym today. I've been in the gym hammering it out for the last 5 days, and my body feels like it wa**** by a Mack truck. I couldn't even scrub my kitchen counters last night, my triceps were so sore. And today, I really feel it in my inner thighs and outer glutes. Those squats be a-workin!

BUT, I am gettin' it done in the kitchen.  Busting out a three-tiered fudge wedding cake with caramel buttercream and sculpted fondant. It's gonna be maaaaahvelous.
