Since all surgeons have different food plans, I'm not sure what's on your week 4 food list. But, I'm almost 4 weeks out and I'm on pureed foods. At this point, I know I wouldn't be able to get all of my protein in if I wasn't still drinking my shakes.
But if you're eating enough protein in a day (60-80 grams) without the shakes, then you don't need them. Dropping them won't stop your weight loss, but not getting enough protein in could.

No, not drinking protein shakes will not stop your weight loss.
Are you able to get enough protein without shakes, though?

I definitely lose weight more consistently when I get all my liquids and protein -- and protein shakes can help with both. I only drink a protein shake if I've had less than 50g of protein in a day.

You don't HAVE to drink protein shakes if you are able to get the minimum amount of protein in from food alone. Some people do find that their weightloss slows when they don't get enough protein. Some of that may be due to them eating other things that are higher in carbs or calories, though, so the slowed weight loss may be due to the OTHER food choices rather than specifically due to lack of protein.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
