I can tell you that I am 12 months out and have lost over 200lbs. I have pizza and DO NOT feel guilty about it. I don't eat eat it weekly. Maybe more like monthly. I normally eat thin crust. In my group meetings the phycologist told me don't deprive yourself of life's pleasures if you want them. BUT all things in moderation. I try to workout a little longer if I know I am going to eat more calories that day! :)

As I point out monthly to a gal at our support group, I had this surgery to be NORMAL, and a NORMAL person occasionally has a spoonful of rice (that's her freak-out. At 7 years out, she claims that a tablespoon of rice will blow out your pouch).

Same goes for pizza.

I get one slice per month, otherwise the carb and grease ***** comes back and I become really crabby. But I do love enjoy one slice per month!

i make pizza chips at home....take what ever pizza toppings you like, chop them up fine, then add what ever grated cheeses you have, but make sure you add in some mozz, and parm cheese..then i add garlic powder, italian seasoning, oreagno powder...in small amounts,,,then mix this all up, spray parchment paper and melt the mixture up, we like it kinda of crusty around the edges and my hubby dips it in pizza sauce...
we like this better than order pizza now..

Im 4 1/2 months and I eat pizza. I started by just eating the cheese and toppings off 1. Now I eat 1 whole piece minus the crust.

I make my own at home sometimes and I can make it much more protein heavy. A thin whole wheat crust piled high with ground beef and spices with loads of cheese. Yummy!! It is also good leftover.

I love you all and this site! Such great ideas and so supportive. I can't wait to make pizza chips! I think I need to cut my carbs. Little as I'm getting hungry these days. Maybe the carbs ever so small amounts are getting to me. Any tips to ratting a salty protein. I miss and crave salt.
