ALL I do is sip sip sip walk walk walk try to fart fart fart, drug sleep sleep and repeat. Overall not to bad. I am able to get about 4-6 oz SF jello and maybe a popsicle. Iced water around 40-50 ozs. The left sided drain and the knock out the pain pills give me are the worst!!

I am not complaining though!

I am so jealous you got good pain meds, my doctor gave me 4 doses and that was it. But i am very excited for you, because only good things are coming from now on!

I know the feeling as well. I am 5 days post op and I seem to do nothing but sip and walk. I take the pain meds if necessary but not so much anymore. I was lucky enough that I didn't have to go home with my drain. My issue is that even though I'm gettin my protein in and all my fluids I can't help but crave solid food. Anyone else have or had this issue? Any ideas on how to help with this craving?

Melissa, completely normal with the solid food cravings.  They will go away though and don't give in because you could hurt yourself if you try to eat solids at this point in the plan.

Oh no, I definately will not give in to solid food. When I have the craving for solid food I drink more liquid or have a couple spoons of whichever creamy soup I made for the day. Question? I am able to have full liquids and I was able to have grits with my pre-op diet. Would grits still be considered full liquids now? Anyone know?

Thank You! I notice that alot of people have been able to avoid taking the pain meds. I don't take them every 4 hours as directed but I still need them. My mom is 9 years post op and I tend to compare alot to her issues even though I know everyone is different. I also read alot on here and wonder... My Dr says that I am more sore then I would have been with just RNY because he had to do a hernia repair and remove seveal adheasions. I think he may have told me that to help me feel better lol. I'm not hurting as much as I am terrible sore inside. I also gagged myself yesterday when brushing my teeth which caused a burning sensation in my left waist area so now thats a bit more sore too. I just been using a heating pad hoping it eases it
