I had my surgery on 03/15 and eating pretty well I guess, but now I am getting a lot of bloating after I eat. My stomach looks like it use to when I would eat to much and have to unbutton my jeans. Is this normal?  I still don't eat any meat except for chicken...all other meat makes me sick. Also low sugar ice cream is the only thing that makes me stomach calm down and fill statisfied.  Am I missing something, maybe my vitamin levels are low or something?

Thanks

I'm not aware of any vitamin deficiencies that would cause bloating.  I wonder if it is related to certain foods you eat.  Have you noticed any pattern?

I'm not sure why ice cream would be the only food that makes your stomach calm down and feel satisfied.  Ice cream turns to liquid when you eat it because it's warm in your pouch and it melts, which means it doesn't stay in your pouch more than a couple minutes.  Something like a good protein shake or Greek yogurt would give you more protein, less sugar and should keep you feeling full just as long.  Unless by satisfied you mean something other than full.

This may sound like a dig but one reason the ice cream may seem to work could be mental.  Ice Cream makes us feel good, so from a brain stand point it could be the whole head hunger issue.

To many carbs can cause a gass build up that would cause bloating , I also would switch to SF popcycles and do not fall back into old patern.
You need to eat meat, greek yogert, eggs , etc for protein try getting your only carbs from veggies and a bit of fruit.
I have seen it time and time again with my daughter's and if you can imagine your  intestines being stretched with gas....NOT good
