how ya doing with the no carbs for a week thing?
Yeah, no starchy carbs. That's what I'm doing, anyway. A couple people have changed the rules a little bit to suit their needs, which is just fine. Someone said she was going to keep eating her protein cereal for breakfast but cut out the other starchy stuff, and Nik is cutting out peanut butter instead of starchy carbs. So you can decide what you need to cut out and what you can keep.
For me, I'm cutting the bread, crackers, rice, pasta (I don't eat much pasta anyway), stuff like that.

Yesterday was great, today was good until I realized that my breakfast of oatmeal that i did eat, would be a CARB, duhhh, honestly it didn't sink in until I looked at my journal!! How's that for being a habit style eater, at least I did add protein to it. The balance of the day was great -- snack was chickpeas and grape tomatoes, lunch was shredded beef and salad greens, next snack the small pop top tin of tuna, dinner was an egg and spinach, later will be watermelon.

Ok!!! Tonight I went to the retirement dinner. I ate the roll but didn't touch the tiramisu. The roll was planned. Starting tomorrow no starchy carbs or empty sugar calories. For me fruits and veggies are free. Sugar free popsicles are ok if I'm desperate. My biggest nemesis is bread.
