Dumping Symptoms

So lately I've been having some issues after eating and I think it is dumping syndrom, but not sure what to do about it or the cause. I'm eating the protein first then some veggies, but sometimes after eating (10-15 min), I start to sweat and then feel really bad. I don't get sick, but I feel flush and like I just want to lay down and curl into a ball. It's happened three times since surgery and each time it is on food that I had previously had good experiences with. Could it be portion size? Any insight would be most appreciated as my wife and I are at a loss.

It sounds like mild dumping. But you should not be dumping on protein and veggies unless you are adding fat or sugar to them. I DO sometimes feel mild dumping symptoms if I eat too fast or don't chew well enough. It's caused by the body's reaction to larger than normal amounts or particles being introduced into the intestine.

I agree with the PP- it May be more due to introducing too much food at once, and not really dumping per se as you would on high fat Or high sugar foods. Just chew well and eat slower and that may resolve your issue. I know when I eat too quick I feel VERY unwell for a bit!

Thank you so much ladies. I am going to try and slow down more and eat smaller bites. Back to basics!
