I had surgery 31 days ago.. and my stomach rumbled about the 2nd week- it is normal.. Also I am in the same boat as you- I sometimes feel like I am eating toooo much- I measure my food but a few hours later I am hungry again.. (now I was told to eat/drink 6 times aday) and I was hardly eating/drinking 3 times a day.. sooo I guess that my nerves are healing and am doing more.

So I drink my protein first then I eat applesauce with protein I am in the pureed stage and Have had more solid food then pureed but in small amounts- Also I have gotten sick but it is cause I LOVE water and find myself wanting to drink a lot more then I can hold.

It is great that you post your questions on here.. I find this site awesome cause it gives us all a place to vent and bounce ideas off each other!

Even though I was allowed some noodles and bread on my plan, I avoided then like the plague, just because I knew they would hinder my weight loss.  Especially so early on.  So if you are hungry, eat stuff like greek yogurt with sf jam mixed in, cream soups with some protein powder mixed in, cottage cheese with salsa mixed in, some pureed chili.  Snack on sf jello, puddings and popcicles.  I truly lost my weight the fastest in the first 4 months.  Don't sabatoge yourself eating high carbs so early on.  You didn't come all this way to not lose the weight.  It's only going to get harder.  Measure your food, eat 5-6 small meals a day and inbetween drink lots of liquids.  I find that drinking would sometimes fill me up.  Or eat sf popcicles in between if you need to chew.  Find something to do to keep your mind off of wanting to eat.
The first 6 weeks after surgery were hard being at home.  I did nothing but concentrate on what I was putting in my mouth and figuring out a routine.  At home, I found I was bored and less active.  So the tendancy to eat more was there.  I must have been a lucky one, because in the early days I was struggling with not eating enough and I forsure wasn't drinking enough.  It was a battle.
You will also find your stomach grumbles more now after surgery.  Doesn't mean you are hungry though.
No one said this was going to be a easy path.  Start with measuring your food, timing when you eat, concentrating on protein and try to keep those darn yummy carbs at a minimum.
You'll succeed, I just know it!  Good luck!
