 Hi Alice, my fellow 2010er,
It sounds as if everything is going just the way it should.
Wonderful how you've taken control of your health and eating.
You look terrific and sound happy.
Congrats.

Thank you so much for your post.  I am pre-op (one more Nut appt and then paperwork can be submitted to insurance for approval) and I wanted to let you know your post is truly inspirational.

Thank you !

Thank you for posting your story.  I found myself nodding to a lot of what you typed out and have made the mental changes myself.  I especially found the part about your children, really hit home.  My oldest daughter is unfortunately built like I am and the changes I'm making, I'm hoping will only help her from ever getting to where I was.

She understands the importance of eating healthy and proper portions and is really working hard to make right food choices.  I still want her to be a kid so I allow her to have treats, but I am so proud of her for the choices she's made.

You look amazing and happy and healthy!  Congratulations on your success!

 Alice,
Lovely family, lovely story. I hope more veterans will share the details of their journeys. It's inspiring and helpful.

Thank you for your post.  I read and enjoyed every word!  We have a lot of similarities (height, pre-op weight, etc) so I found it helpful to read how much you got down to post-op and your personal gain threshold, as well as how you eat for success.

I never really had a goal weight, and I had a surprise post-op pregnancy that I'm sure screwed with my honeymoon period.  The lowest weight I ever saw on the scale was 141, and now I've been hovering around 151.  I'm hoping to get back down into the mid 140's and your post has helped me to know that is a realistic, attainable goal.

You've done a great job, and you have a beautiful family!
