New diet update!
Well on a sore subject of the past 24 hours!
Life seriously got in the way yesterday and I didn't end up eating until around 4pm. Needless to say I really wasn't in the mood to just start eating for the sake of calories and such and ate to satisfy the hunger that I had. This meant that my 50% of my calories comming from carbs really didn't happen not to mention had it happened it wouldn't have been enough to really matter.
Today was a 7 mile run legs were totally sore from the first step but I hoped they were just tight and loosen up but yeah I should really learn about what happens when I hope for something. I gutted out the distance and the last mile was really painful, mentally and physically.
My pace was up a good minute on avg from what my 9 mile run was so many times I debated on just calling it quits and walking back but running back I at least got to the car sooner. Second and more reassuring aspect that the new diet will get me where I need to be is that the 9 mile run my sweat was not as acidic as it usually had been and didn't burn, today the burn was back from the sweat so yeah I am learning something.
I will report today has been slightly better food wise but am really just winging it as my day is just a nightmare.

I use diet as a general term in as What my Nutritionists and Exercise Physilogist have set my numbers at not as in Atkins.
It breaks out like this
Training Days 2800-3000 Calories
Rest Days: 2100 - 2500 I think it may be 2300
Calorie breakout
50% Carbs
30% Protein
20% Fats
The issues I had last year with injury and ramping up for Augusta really had me at a point diet wise on what to do.
I consider the way I live my life to be my diet is dictated by what my body needs. To me diet is no longer South Beach and Atkins but rather an approach to life. As you can see from the calories it really doesn't fall into any "Diet" that people would typically put themselves on.
As for the eating...
Well when you are in meeting after meeting getting yelled at and putting fires out all day you just tend to forget what time it is. Heck one time we had a wicked storm goin on outside and I didn't know it until the Tornado sirens started going off.

I find that if I have day where I can't eat and then just work to get protein in, I have a difficult next couple of days. Since my RNY, it seems that I need to be much more consistent with my diet, or I feel it. Just today, my trainer was mentioning that I'm still lagging behind in the muscle recovery times - then I had minor hypoglycemia (glucose level in the high 60s) by the end of the work out. It seems that I just don't have the reserves like I used to.
I'm hoping that after 2 or 3 years out that this will settle down, but your story tells me it may not.
Can you please elaborate on the acidic sweat? I don't understand your discussion on that.
Thanks!
