Great story, I am going to get a bike. I used to do mountain biking all over even up in Canada in places I am afraid to even think of now. But as I get older my old body will not take that much abuse. I used to run 6 miles every day, but now after two knee surgeries, I can not pound them like that anymore.
But hopefully before the summer is over, I am going to get a bike and do moderate cycling around here. There are some real great bike paths on old rail road lines that have been converted that run for like 40 miles or more. Thanks for posting gets me fired up to do it.

I think it would be safer for me to get an adult three wheeler and really spruce it up with psychedelic colors and peace signs so I don't look totally like a dork. I don't trust my balance anymore. I would like to find a group of adults in my area who ride three wheelers so people don't feel sorry for me as they drive by. hahahahaha I have to find the humor in this because I can so totally see me doing this! If you do go riding don't forget your helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, shin pads, butt pads, gloves for your palms, you know!!!! Love you Larry! :)
