So I had surgery last Monday. Got my staples out today and was put on pureed foods. I get home everything is hunky dory and then around 3:30 I notice a bunch of little red dots on my thighs. I don't normally freak out and immendiatly call the doctor's office but my doctor said anything wrong within the first like 90 days Call! So I talked to the PA i saw this morning and said I think I'm getting hives on my thighs. The boyfriend says he will bring home benedryl and hydrocortisone cream. I just took it and put on the cream but I'm still freaking out. I don't want to have to call the hospital again tomorrow. I just want them to go away !

This is not medical advice. Were I you, I would assume that during your time at the hospital or after you came into contact with something that irritated your skin. I'd wash that area with a gentle antibacterial soap, use the hydrocortisone cream and watch it for a couple days. Hives are larger welt like areas, the little bumps are most like contact dermatitis, which is not serious at all.

Hope you feel better!

If in doubt, have someone check it out.  If you start breaking out all over, then I would go to the E.R.
Just for peace of mind.  Take Care, Jane
