I wanna go shopping.

I want some new jeans.

I want some cute jeans.

I have the same size 12 jeans that i bought 2 years ago at Kohls.  They're alright.  But they're... just alright.

Ok, yes, the fact that I still have the SAME SIZE 12 JEANS for TWO YEARS and they still fit is AWESOME!

But I look at jeans that other women wear sometimes and I think.. wow, those are cute.

So, where should I go shopping with the least chance of ego deflation?

I'm a curvy 12.

I've got a butt.

I've got hips & thighs.

I don't want no muffin top!

Any suggestions?

I wear Lucky Brand extra long skinny jeans - they fit me beautifully - cost about $100 unless you have an outlet near you ...

When I think of "skinny" jeans they don't seem like the jeans for curves...

It depends what you mean by curves! I have a bum and boobs but no other lumps and bumps, saddlebags etc.

I am a normal weight for my height (6ft) - definitely not skinny as my size 12 jeans will attest LOL!

If I don't wear Lucky Skinny, I usually go for Gap Long and Lean in a bootcut

Hmm... no saddlebags.. and my loose tummy skin is minimal (if I'm standing)... when I was obese I carried most of my weight in my butt and thighs, so my butt sags more than I'd like and I have thick thighs...  heck, most of the time I'm surprised I fit in a 12.. I'm 5'6" and 185 lbs.

I'd post a pic but I'm at work and I don't have access to my FB to snag one.

We sound like the same size - although I am taller (hence the X Long).   It took me ages to find jeans that fit my body type and once I found them, it made all the difference.

One of the things I like about Lucky is that they hold your bum up nicely making it look fuller and NOT flattening it.    They make them in all sorts of shapes if you find that the skinny is not your thing!

 Awesome, I'll try them out.

Where do I find them??

I buy mine at the Lucky Brand store at the outlet mall - I get them for $69.95 or two for $100 - worth looking if you have outlets near you ...

I know Macy's carry them.  Happy shopping!   Let us know how you get on ...

I LOVE Lucky jeans.  I usually go for the straight leg or boot cut though.  They're pricey, but worth it.  I have *several* pairs.

Right now I have one pair of jeans and I can pull them down over my hips without unbuttoning or unzipping.  So I am right there with you that I need new jeans -- but with it being summer, I'm going to skip straight to shorts and capris.  I need to find myself a good sale!

Good luck hunting for cute jeans!

Edited to add:  I like Old Navy and Aeropostale jeans.
