I wanna go shopping.
Go to Goodwill. They have thousands of jeans there, and I am sure you would find exactly what you are looking for.
It just takes a little time and patience. I have scads of jeans - even the high priced brands - that I bought there with the tags still on them.
If not there, try Old Navy. They have at least 4 different styles for different body types.

I love the Coldwater Creek classic jeans! They made me look good when I was fat also.

For basic pants, I actually like Macy's store brand (Style & Co). If you have extra skin around the belly, they are a little more high rise to prevent muffin top. They have different styles like ankle pants, skinny, curvy, boot cut, and capri so there are a lot of options. There are some cute stitching designs on them too. Once you know your size, it's pretty consistent across the line. Easy shopping!
I like Joe's Jeans too. If you have wide hips and a smaller waist, I find that those don't have as much of a gap as others. They also come in petite lengths for us shorties.
For work, I am a fan of DKNY pants. Their sizes are not consistent across styles so try on different kinds. They are mid-rise and sewn together very well. I have had the same pair for 4 years without so much as a missing thread.
