I never liked ANY of the special "bariatric" foods that I tried, so I cannor offer anything useful there.  I much prefer real food.  Even at just 2 months out, there are lots of different ways you can season chicken so it gives you some variety (Cajun, lemon pepper, cumin, BBQ, w/enchilada sauce, marinated in Italian dressing, blackened, etc.) and there are other protein sources you should be "allowed" to eat at this point (e.g., seafood other than tuna -- crab goes down really well for most people -- cheeses, etc.).

Cereal is not a very good choice for us (at least not in the traditional form with milk) because even the high protein cereals are also pretty high in carbs and, more importantly, the milk washes the cereal out of the pouch right away (which enables you to eat too much AND will make you get hungry sooner).

I've tried a few things from there. While it isn't bad, some things were actually pretty tasty, it's cheaper to fix things at home and even tastier!

I like their protein pancakes, and cheesesteak pasta... it's great when I don't have time or too tired to cook.

246 in Dec 2008 before banded 1/28/09 at 215 lbs, band crapped 9/09 at 170 lbs and struggled with it and regained to 203 revised to bypass on 8/1/11 and am very happy.

Kay's Naturals High Protein Cereal with a little bit of skim/soy/almond milk is AWESOME.

I am more than 6 years post-op and STILL order from this catalog! I love many of the items in there, even though I do fine with many non-bariatric foods. One of my very favorite things is their protein pretzels - I have not found another crunchy substitute that packs a protein punch like this one. I recently tried their Zipper treats and they are really good mixed in with noodleless lasagna filling or as croutons on a salad. Their protein puddings are excellent and good for when I am away from home and need something easy and quick.
