L: turkey and tomato on a wheat thin/edamame
S: Quest bar
D: hmmmm, forgot to take anything out, so I guess it will be chicken again...probably a brown rice chicken salad
S: something protein forward and filling (so that means a dense protein)
Going to yoga at lunch. It's a light exercise day which is a good thing as I was up so often last night with leg/ankle/foot cramps. Need to make sure I stay hydrated today and stretch really well before bed...that seems to be the solution for me and my night leg cramps. I guess the first solution would be to stop running, but that ain't going to happen, so I just need to make sure I stretch and hydrate properly when I do my 5K runs (or when I push the envelop on exercise).
So today I'm taking it easy. Originally planned to put some time in at work to get ready for the fall semester of classes, but I am just not ready to begin to be a workaholic again. I know I will be, so I'd rather wait a bit and get on with it in the future instead of now.
So I slept in today, then I had some quiche. Trying to decide if I should have some grapefruit or a protein shake, and then remembered that tomorrow I'm having a procedure, where they'll need to do an IV...so I should have a protein shake so that I'm well hydrated tomorrow.
So this is my tentative lineup for today:
1. quiche
2. protein shake
3. grapefruit
4. protein shake
5. protein shake
6. "Full meal at Costco".... in other words, I'll have samples, and they invariably add up to a full stomach by the time I leave.
7. protein shake (half scoop)
8. salad with cheese, artichoke hearts, snap peas, and avocado.
9. protein shake (half scoop)

Food du jour:
B: Packet of Better Oats Raw Pure and Simple
S: Decaf with vanilla protein powder
S: (I felt HUNGRY before lunch!) 8 oz lowfat soy milk with chocolate protein powder
L: 1 oz roasted soy nuts, spicy hummus and baby carrots
S: Decaf with vanilla protein powder
D: Probably leftover ground turkey tacos (they were awesome... ground white meat turkey, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, black beans and low sodium taco seasoning, topped with reduced fat chedder and light sour cream and served on low carb torillas. I skipped the tortilla after one bite so I could just eat the guts!)
The turkey tacos were a hit with my husband. I am REALLY happy that my husband is beginning to embrace healthier eating. His BP is lowering and he's lost some weight! I think he's super handsome anyway, but he could stand to lose some pounds, and I really want him to be around for a long time!

Breakfast today was a hardboiled egg.
Went and taught class. This was a challenging one today. Had to reprimand a couple of kids, which I hate doing, but my, they try my patience.
Lunch will be a Lean Cuisine. Something super quick and easy while I finish tackling more tasks on the list. I can't wait for this all to be done so it can quit hanging over my head.
I'll likely have a couple leftover meatballs for a snack, maybe with some melted cheese. Mm.
And dinner will be...um... maybe some grilled Gardenburgers and mixed veggies. I'll top my Gardenburger with cheese, black beans, and a little salsa and greek yogurt.
