Emergency kit

Do you have an emergency kit in your pocketbook, car, backpack, etc.? If so, what do you keep in it?
I'm trying to put one together, and was curious as to what others have in their emergency kits? For instance, I keep a pack of water bottles in my car in case I'm thirsty because I almost never remember to bring my Nalgene bottle.

That's awesome! I might do something like that--just keep it in the fridge until I'm ready to use it. Thanks for the ideas!
I don't but I need to. I need to start making sure I have a protein bar with me at all times. A couple weeks ago I experienced an episode of reactive hypoglycemia when I was out at the farm picking up my milk, and this farm is a good 30 minutes from any type of store where you could buy something to eat. I decided to drink some milk and see if that helped, and it did. Also, I was not alone so my friend could have driven us to the nearest place to buy a snack, while I hoped I didn't pass out. But I could have been alone. And anyway, it was scary. I wasn't expecting to need anything to eat in the time I was there so I didn't bring anything with me, but I need to just have something in the car all the time just in case.

That can be scary! Glad to hear your friend was with you, and the milk helped.
I was thinking of this the other day since I headed out to do some errands, but I didn't think to bring anything with me. Then, I started getting hungry and eventually nauseous. I'm usually good about "eating on the clock", so I need to be better prepared. I don't want to have that happen again, especially with my daughter in tow.

I usually take a snack or a lunch or whatever if I'm planning to be out for more than a couple hours, or else I plan what/where/when I'm going to stop to eat. There have been a couple times I've been out running errands and realized I needed to eat and I hadn't planned ahead, but I've always been in an area where I could just stop at a gas station on any corner and pick up something. Maybe not the healthiest thing but something.
My RH seems to be getting a bit worse, though, and I need to be more careful. Even if I was near a store, if they were very busy, I might be in trouble if I had to wait in a long line or something. Although I guess I could go ahead and eat my snack standing in line and then pay when I reached the register. But I need to be more careful. If I was driving down the highway, for instance, and had to get off at the next exit and get to a gas station or something, that might take too long. It really seems to hit me pretty fast.

Beef jerky...yes! I love Perky Jerky, sold at Target.
I was thinking something along those lines. Thanks for the ideas!

I have a protein bar, some almonds, and at least one fruit leather in both of my cars, in my desk at work (along with a zillion other things... it looks like a bariatric food and supplement store in my cube!), and in my purse. It has been that way for 5 years (but, no, it is not the SAME protein bars for 5 years... Eventually I eat them and replace with fresh ones, LOL!)
