What can I take for gallbladder pain?

Until I get back to the dr?

I have been in pain all day today and havent really been able to move around too much? The pain is getting progressively worse. HIDA scan scheduled for monday but in the meantime is there anything I csn safely take to help with the pain?

The only non-prescription pain med we can safely take is Tylenol.  If your gallbaldder pain is anything like mine was, though, Tylenol won't touch it.  I would call the doctor and see if he can call in something to your pharmacy.  There are limits on what types of narcotics they can call in, but he should be able to give you something to deal with the pain.

 When I had my gallbladder and crippled with pain, the only thing that worked for me was to have mostly clear liquids and low-fat/fat-free food for a day until it went away. Definitely get back to the doctor ASAP. I suffered off and on for a month before I went to the doctor. I'm so glad I had it removed. :)
