Pill crusher recommendations

 I'm in need of a good pill crusher. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I'm needing to crush more than I thought, and using spoons isn't cutting it for me.

I got one at Walgreens for $2. Ask the pharmacist where they are. They should be near the pill boxes.

Veterinarian supply companies usually carry a pill crusher.  Its a clear and red plastic jar with 2 lids. One lid opens a compartment to store pills. Other lid opens a compartment where pills are crushed.  The lid is threaded and the lid is just deep enough to reach the bottom of the comartment. Put pill in compartment, and screw lid down all the way, crushing the pill.  I've had one for years and they hold up well and don't break.  I use it to crush pills to make liquid meds to give to cats.  I have a mortal & pestle in my kitchen & use it if I need to crush meds. Any pharmacy sells crushers with the pill cutters. You cam buy a moral & pestle at any kitchen supply stores, it issued to crush spices. 

 We do have a mortar and pestle here...I just need to find it. LOL I was thinking of a pill crusher so my meds didn't get mixed into whatever we were mixing in the mortar. 

I measured out my dosage on a digital scale and then I dumped the whole bottle in my vitamix blender. They were reduced to powder. Now I just weigh/measure out my pre-crused dose when I need it. Easy Peesy.
