Coughing With Phelm

I had surgery on the 29th of Aug. and hve been doing really well except with this cough and mucus.....Just want to no if anyone else has experienced it.......Went to my pcp, and he gave me a inhaler with antibiotics....Dont no what ti except, and scared of lung infection......o

 Make sure you are doing your spirometer (the thing they give you in the hospital) - do it as much as possible.  If you continue to have these problems, I'd ask for a chest xray to rule out pneumonia.  

 I'm just getting over double ear infection and bronchitis-from 2 weeks ago. It has been an awful 2 weeks of non-stop coughing. Antibiotics, inhaler, steroid pack, and cough syrup...I seem to get sick like this at least once a year. It was very difficult dealing with phlem...it made me nauseous & vomit. I'm feeling a lot better now, fluids are great and appetite is better. But the aggravating cough is still hanging on. Just take it day by day and take your meds as prescribed-don't forget your fluids & vitamins! And get some rest  . Feel better soon.         Luanne
