Fruits and veggies--when did you try them?

I had a tablespoon of pureed veggies at each meal as soon as my surgeon's instructions allowed for it..I think around the 2 week post-op mark.  I incorporated veggies into soups and stews as well.  I started eating salad greens around the 3 or 4 month mark.

I was allowed to have very small amounts of many fruits and veggies at just a couple of weeks out. My surgeon's rule was "protein first ALWAYS", so early out I could only have one or two very small bites, LOL.

Some of the ones that are hard to digest, though, weren't permitted until several months out (pineapple, citrus fruit other than mandarin oranges, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.).

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
