what happens when I send the man to the grocery store.

He must not love you because he didn't buy Cheez-its.  What's wrong with him?  lol
I think it's in most men's genes to go crazy on snack stuff.  My husband ran to the store last week and came home with a couple boxes from Little Debbie -- but he's a good man and keeps them out in the garage.  Out of sight, out of mind!

And then.. UPS shows up a few days ago with a box.  I open it and it's a GINORMOUS box of Pop Chips!  Tortilla chips!!!  MY WEAKNESS!!!!!!  I wasn't pleased with that one.

It must be genetic.  I mean, he hardly got any real food.  There wasn't much on the list, but if you're going to add things that aren't on the list, how about something we can eat for dinner?  Except you know what he ate for dinner yesterday?  Chips Ahoy cookies, Triscuits (with that bright orange squirt cheese in a can), his Snickers bar, and some kettle corn.  Seriously.  That was his dinner.

Then this morning he weighed himself and was disappointed to find he'd gained about three pounds in the last two weeks.  Um... OK.

I ate sliced bell peppers with hummus for dinner, by the way.  Followed by a handful of kettle corn.

I love him for not buying Cheez-Its.  At least he mostly buys snacks he wants now.  He doesn't often buy things specifically for me.

Hubby and I both go grocery shopping. He buys the junk food. I seldom buy junk food.

He didn't like that I was fat so I go on a diet and I start losing lots of weight then he starts buying all kinds of junk foods he knows I like and have a hard time resisting. Can we say "Sabotage?"

He has done this for years. I have learned to ignore most of the junk food but it irks me that he does this.

Men!!! Can't live with them and it's illegal to shoot them!!!!

This made me laugh.  My husband maintains the grocery list in case he is the one who has to go shopping.  I don't really need one.  His grocery list says "meat, fruit, bread, cheese, veggies".   He's supposed to put the things on it that he uses up, but that's really hit or miss.  For example, he almost never puts "steak sauce" or "all fruit spread" or "parmesan cheese".  Except for stinky cheese and ice cream, he never buys anything that's not on the list.

If I don't do the shopping at least once every ten days or so, our pantry starts looking really random.

I think it must be something in the "y" chromesone. I can send my husband with a list but guarentted there will be two extra bags of junk food. I just have him put it in his man cave and I don't have to see it. By the way, I love chips ahoy cookies.

I can't go grocery shopping when I'm thirsty (which is pretty dang often, regardless of how much I drink).  I once came out with $20 in fluids, cheese sticks and a container of yogurt.

I didn't realize my folly until I was at the checkout and the young lady looked at me strangely.

 It is guy logic!

We do this stuff enough we know eventually we won't ever be asked to do it again!
