Question for pre-ops and new post ops
My dietitian wants to start a newsletter to give out each month. She has asked me to be the first person to write "my story" of life before and after surgery.
As a personal, not educational, article.... what would you like to see if you were getting this newsletter? I jumped at the chance to contribute and now have NO idea what to write :)

emphasis that it is a tool and that people still need to get their head straight if necessary.

Ditto to Wendy. The best thing anyone ever said to me was that RNY is only a tool and we need to chose to use it correctly to be successful. That means during the " honeymoon phase" we need to work On our heads! I think about that daily and it helps to keep me on track.
I thInk it's important to understand that when stalls happen not to wOrry because your body is playing catch up and shifting.
Congrats and good luck, such an honor!

Congrats!!! This sounds so exciting!
I liked some of the other ideas, but also to add why did you decide on surgery, what are your goals, your experiences during your hospital stay (although everyone is a bit different, it helps to have other opinions) maybe some websites that you found delicious recipes when you are cleared for soft/regular foods.
Enjoy and post it here if you can so we can read it too :)

Maybe about how it has been going from heavy to small... the way people see you now as opposed to then, etc. And the way you see yourself. Tips you can give on helping with the self esteem problems a lot of us face. And also how it's affected your relationship if you're married.
