I don't have one, so I just used pillows to prop myself up.

I didn't need one at all, just propped myself up with pillows when I needed to.

I thought I would need one and actually went out and purchased it. I even got the motoraized lays back into a full bed kind. The first night home I slept in it for half of the night and woke up with my tail bone bothering me so badly that I said screw it and went to my bed and have slept there since. It has been a good thing to have for little naps and cuddles with my boys though, but if you don't absolutely need it I say save the money because I wish I had.

I slept in mine for a month after my RNY, but I had open surgery with an 8-inch insision.  I have never not been able to sleep in bed after a lap procedure, though.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

not as important as getting a treadmill.

The only place I could sleep was my bed flat on my back. I was in so much pain I just laid stll until I fell asleep. I did use my recliner during the day to rest though.

I actually rented a recliner from Rent-A-Center yesterday. It is so comfy. I didnt want to chance not being able to get comfortable in bed & I know the recliner will help me out in the long run. I can either chose to keep the recliner or send it back after Im healed.

I bought a recliner for my bedroom. I am a belly sleeper and I tried once or twice a week to get into my bed and I just couldn't get comfortable, plus initially it was very painful...a lot of pulling on my abdomen. I slept in the recliner for about a month.

I have a recliner but did not use it or need it.  I used extra pillows to prop myself up a bit.  The most difficult part for me was I sleep on my side.  Post surgery I could not do that.  The weight of my stomach pulling downward was a little uncomfortable for about a week.
