Right now I'm at 1/2 cup or 3-4oz of dense meat 1/2-3/4 cup for soups & beans, mushy stuff. 1 cup of food definitely seems far away. Lol Just curious what everyone else is at or was at around 7-8 months post op.

I am 5 months out and about the same as you. 1 Cup is along way away for me too. Even if I go a little over 3-4oz of dense meat, or other foods, I barf. I hope we are normal.

I can easily eat at least 1/2 cup and up to a cup of food in one sitting if I so choose. Of course, just because I can eat more doesn't mean that I do. I get around 1000 cals a day which is probably more than most at this point but I also exercise A LOT and I'm ahead of the curve on my weight loss so the doc thinks I'm fine on cals.

We're all different based on our tolerances and pouch sizes and so forth. I think what you're eating sounds pretty on par for what most are doing at this point.

Yup, that sound like me too, 1/4 to a 1/2 cup solids depending on the day... 1/2 cup soup, fruit, veggies no problem.... And yes, totally can't imagine fitting 1 cup any time soon :) I drink a lot of my calories, skim milk powder/protein powder etc, and typically have 1000 cal a day. I'm 8 and a half months post op.

none of the food i eat is dense - i eat about a cup.  that's what my plan calls for - a cup to 1 1/4 cup.

Im 8 months out, and yeah, I can eat 3/4 cup per meal, if I eat a little more than that, it comes back to my mouth. I do have a hard time with having liquids after I eat, I desperately wait for the half hour so I can drink water.

e I'm coming up to 9 months out and I can eat between 3/4 cup to just over 1 cup of food...but it depends on what foods I'm eating.  If I eat 3/4 cup of chili or stew, then I can eat a good amount of baby spinach and a few baby carrots and cherry tomatoes.  If I eat a dense protein, like baked salmon or chicken breast, then I'm full much sooner.  If I add a sauce, like tomato sauce on my chicken breast, then I can eat more of it.  The science of filling the pouch is very interesting, and good to know so we can manipulate it to meet our nutritional and weight loss/maintenance goals.
