I know there is nothing I can do to stop it. I get all my vitamins, fluid and protein - it IS happening. But how long does it usually last, estimate? I have been bald before after chemo and radiation treatments so hair loss isn't the end all for me. I just can't believe the rate at which it is coming out!! If this keeps up I will be bald again!!

My hairloss stopped around my 6-month surgiversary. I hear it usually ends no later than 9 months postop.

 I'm at 9 months and it's mostly stopped.  I haven't seen any re-growth yet.

I believe it's from the third month up to the 9th month.

Usually it lasts from 3 or 4 months out to 8 or 9 months out, but there are, of course, personal variations that can be significant.

My hair loss started right around the 3 month mark. I noticed just this morning when I shampooed my hair that the loss is beginning to slow down. This week was my 6 month anniversary. I understand that it may take a couple more months to get back to normal loss. I cut mine short as soon as the loss started and it helped with my self esteem.....and how many times my hubby has had to unclog the shower....LOL! Good luck. Its all good from here out

I have very fine thin hair so the hair loss was depressing.  I'm almost 8 months post op and it seems to have stopped.  I am taking biotin hoping it will help regrowth but I don't have any regrowth yet.

when i noticed that my hair was falling out was right at the 3 months. i told my surgeons p.a about it and she has suggested to take biotin pills and it will help some. then the next day i decided to get my hair cut short it looks better with short.. and my hair is so thin runs in the family and its easier to work with in the morning than with long hair..  i dont know how long its going to last it just started for me last month
