So, um, how's your tongue? (Unofficial research. Very.)
I haven't had this experience. I will say even before I opened your thread I wondered "B vitamin problems".
When were your last labs? Do you have copies? I don't know a lot about Celiac Disease, IMO it seems to be the current go to when anything is wrong; I may be wrong I've been wrong before
. I know it exist and have read some about it because of the many post I've seen on various WLS boards about having it OR thinking someone has it.

I have had geographic tongue for 28 years. It seems to flare around that time of the month. As far as I know, I do not have celiac. I remember reading that geographic tongue doesn't last for very long but after so many years, I think the book was wrong! :)

from what i know about geographic tongue, it can be genetic as well. my mom has it, as does my grandmother. and one of my mom's good friends, and her mom. my mom has had it her whole life, but i just recently found out about it because i guess it isn't something you necessarily talk about and i never really looked at her tongue lol.
I also have a geographic tongue. Doesn't bother me much just when I eat citrus. I think it runs on my mom's side of the family.
One thing to also consider that creates tongue irritation is low iron.
When my iron was really low, my tongue would just burn like it was raw. Heme dr. stated it was a side effect of having low iron.
