What are you eating/doing today? Wednesday!

I am sitting the (bleep) down. Because I'm tired. Unnaturally tired, in fact, so methinks it's time to call the doc, get some labs.

To me oe of those wonderful/weird things about WLS in my life is that I can be internally tired and still practice physical exertion. Like I'll go do my weights and jog my three miles on the treadmill no problem. Yes, I am tired. But no, being tired doesn't necessarily stop me from moving. What a change of life!

Anyhoo...today is back to work after a long weekend taken to properly celebrate La Petite Diva's 11th birthday. After the year we've had it felt good to have something to celebrate. Now, bring on Christmas! After work I'll go to church dinner, then it's home and to the gym.

Eats:

1. Click Frapp when I get to the office
2. Probably some TVP tuna with a onion-flavored pop rice
3. A bag of Kay's Naturals protein chips
4. Whatever the old ladies feed me
5. Maybe an NSA fudgesicle later

Have a great day everyone!

Doing: NOT taking my husband to work because he's having a UC flare. Ugh! Irritable Bowel Diseases are no joke! But after he calls out sick, my doings will be - seeing clients, picking up my bib for the AIDSwalk 5K from Potomac River Running, quick change of wardrobe for our evening Fun Run in DC, and coming back home to make sure hubby's ok. Poor thing!

Eating:
B- low carb tortilla espanol (chorizo, onion, egg beaters & cheese)
S- protein shake
L - string cheese
S- um.... probably a shake or power crunch bar
D- grilled chicken on a salad

Good morning!
I'm very tired today, too Nik. I'm not sure why, but I'm hoping my workout wakes me up...Those three miles sound like they would do the trick!

Today I have classes and work. I'm really trying to find a way to deal with the stress of work, and being around food all day without feeling deprived (I work as a line cook). So, there will be some serious meditation in my day.

Foods:
B- Protein powder filled pancake-SF syrup
S- Boca burger w/ ketchup
L- Cheese stick
S- Refried beans with salsa
D- Protein Banana Muffin
S- Protein brownie
S- Beef Jerky

I'm saving my calories for later in the day, after I get off work so I can still stay in my budget.

Have a great day, all!

Howdy all! Things are progressing here in my world. One day at a time, right? Right. I've been doing pretty good on protein these last couple  of weeks but I have slipped on my vitamins. Getting back on track today.

Zelda was spayed on Friday and it knocked her out. But she was up and right back at 'em by Sunday. "Don't let her jump around." Uh-huh. I feel like Rabbit trying to stop Tigger from bouncing. It's fruitless.

She is resisting "come here" but she is stubborn like that. Does great with "take" and "crate". Understands "no bite" but will challenge you every day. Loves fetch. 2 times she has brought me back the wrong toy and I say No and she goes back and switches for the right one. It's too funny.

Spit out a baby tooth last week. Saving it. Yea, I'm in love.

Eats:

wake up-FF latte from home
B-1/2 cup plain chobani, packet of OatFit maple & brown sugar oatmeal, 1/2 tsp honey, Tblspn raisins...stir, let sit overnight
L-Chicken sausage, pepperoni chips, cheesestick
S-Apple
D-Think we will do breakfast. Turkey bacon and scome scrambled egg whites w/green peppers, mushrooms and onion. Give hubby a biscuit. And he gets yolks. lol

I'm so glad to hear Benji's sister is doing so well!

Benji is improving as well. He isn't what I would call "house trained" but I keep him outside enough to minimize accidents. I praise him shamelessly when he goes outside and I do the silent treatment and outside for accidents.

So far Benji has "sit" down. He even understands stay. Like with Zelda, "come" elicits a "you have to be effing kidding me" look. I need to get him a bigger crate as he's outgrown the one we have. I really wish I could get him to hold it at night because I feel so guilty crating him at night, letting him out a few hours in the morning then re-crating him for the day (is this one of those needless stupid human worries?).

Fetch is comical. He does fetch most of the time. Bringing it back is sometimey. We're still working on not spazzing out during walks (that little dog is STRONG! he breaks out running and no matter how short I make his leash I find myself jogging a bit) and he's getting better about being around people. He LIVES to go on his walk. Like that is the ultimate moment for him. Whenever you open the front door he bolts for it.

And he and the cat seem to have called a cease fire. So all is pretty good in this house.

They are strong! When Zelda decides she is going somewhere on that leash she is going. Keep up or get drug behind her. LOL Crazy dogs.

I do the ignore outside when she has an accident, too. Zelda hates being ignored. But it's like she knows she isn't supposed to go in the house and will go outside IF you get her there in time. If you don't..."well too bad for you, silly human. Get out that Spot Bot so I can bark at it while it makes that whirring sound."

Glad Benji and the cat have called a truce. Not so here. Jazzy will just wail on Zelda's nose to get her to back off. Nope. It's funny when Zelda trys to chase them. As quick as she is she is no match for a cat. They make her look foolish everytime.

Bought a  Christmas Deco at Home Depot. Little Basett in a Santa hat and it plays "You ain't nothing but a hound dog." (of course) Very little to do with Christmas besides the hat but I had to have the dumb thing.
