Help!!! Garduation Pizza Party!!!
I am seriously sweating bullets. My son's live in girlfriend graduated from Nursing School this evening. Her family (which me and my hubby have never met) is throwing a get together PIZZA party at a local pizza parlor.
I cannot eat PIZZA and I do not want to be a pain in the butt the 1st time meeting her family. What to do?
1. Eat the toppings off of my pizza slice?
2. Order a salad or a bowl of soup and pay for it myself?
3. Don't eat anything and drink a cup of coffee or tea and say that we had already eaten dinner?
It is 8 pm here in Michigan and her party starts at 9:30 pm!
Suggestions please and calling my son and saying that we cannot make it, is out of the question. lol
He would be so mad at us...
You ladies are true BLUE OH friends! Thanks for the advice...I seriously think that I am more nervous about meeting her parents! lol Our kids have been "shacked up" for almost 2 years and they are moving into their new home November 3rd! They are both 25 yrs old and she is now an RN and our son is an Executive Chef. I am so happy for the 2 of them!
How did it go? I must say by 6 months out I was eating pizza. I could eat a small piece by then, minus the crust.

Love to hear how it went. I had my surgery on 6/4 and for father's day my inlaws had it at a pizza place. I just ate the cheese and sausage off the top. My doc's plan called for meat cheese and eggs only at that point so I figured hey! it's meat and cheese! I still eat pizza toppings about once a month while the fam eats the pizza
