The maintenance part is the challenging part, I think. I didn't understand that at first. I heard people say it and I just didn't really get it until I was a couple years post op myself. But it definitely is possible, and if you've used the first year or so to change your eating habits, then you already know you can do it. Now you just have to, you know, go ahead and do it. And at this point, I know I've done it for four years, so I know I can keep doing it for as many years as I choose to. Doesn't mean it will always be easy, but I've proven that I can do it. And it is worth it. There are times I miss being able to eat half a pizza or two huge slices of cake or whatever, but I enjoy being a normal weight more than I would enjoy that pizza or cake.
