OT- new pics of my service dog
I love your observations. You can tell that you are primarily a cat person, LOL. Yes, large dogs drink a lot, eat a lot, pee a lot, and leave large piles in the yard. Most male dogs mark their "territory" when they are walked or even in their own yard. Some breeds are more insistent about it than others, and dogs that are neutered early are less likely to do it. When my mom's Scottie and my Scottie are together (both males), they follow each other around whichever yard they are in, peeing on everything and over the top of where the other dog just peed. Sometimes they make 3 trips back to one spot, alternating who pees on it!

He's beautiful and I know he will be very valuable to you. We had a black lab we raised from a pup until we had to let him go to that doggie place they go to. I lol when I think of the poo myself...my hubby cleaned the yard every Saturday for 14 years. He was a treasure to us as I'm sure yours will be to you. Congrats!
