how do you know when u are hungry
i honeslty dont know when i am hungry. But i have been drinking Atkins advantage thru out the day. My stomach makes a funny noise but i dont know if its growling. i have no clue... however after every sip i take i burp and then i take another sip then burp again... i dont know if i am getting full or not
You're not going to know when you're hungry for some time after surgery. The nerve endings that signaled hunger have been severed and need time to grow back. Since you just had surgery, and on just liquids (I'm assuming?), is try alternating between clear liquids and protein shakes. The first few days home, I couldn't drink a lot in one sitting. It was more about sipping throughout the day. Hope that helps!
For me at 2+ years out I have physical signs my lips will start to go numb and then my hands and such. To be honest I rarely get hunger feelings and when I get a feeling full and hungry feel the same.

I'm 11 months out and I don't get hungry either. I do get signals that I need to eat though. I get a cramping in my pouch that is a little uncomfortable and I can't focus.....I know that I need to eat something....NOW! I have protein bars hidden everywhere, so when I start to get that crampy feeling, I take a bite or two. Hope this helps.....It definitely is a learning curve....but SOO worth it! Good luck to you.
