Stupid Vent Re Surgery Date

Ugh! I just got a call from my doctor's office.  They finally scheduled my surgery for 12/20.  I can't do it on that day, as I will be traveling for work.  So now it has to go back to the scheduler to get a new date.  The first date took almost 2 months to schedule!!  I called them repeatedly telling them that I have to have a certain time frame because I am an attorney and getting coverage for court dates and other hearings would be tricky.  Apparently, the scheduler never got that message.  So, now it looks like it will be after Christmas, which is fine, but I have a limited healing time off, so to speak.  Dang it!  Why can't it be when I want it to be?? (Sort of tongue-in-cheek).  Ah, well, at least it is going to finally happen.

I would definitely talk to the office manager directly and explain what you need and why. They can work wonders if they know why you need a certain timeframe. Maybe they can rearrange a schedule :)

Yeah, when the nurse manager called to tell me the date, I informed her of my cir****tances.  I'm just bummed, wanting it to be perfect.

:) I know you want it to be perfect-  Just don't let anything ruin your glory and don't get upset if it isn't perfect per say. It will happen for you soon. I hope you hear from them soon with a new date that works for you- very soon. I am 2 months out and I would do it all over again. I am having a pretty good post op so far. Not many problems at all. I wish you the same.

Unfortunately, it never works the way we plan--sorry.  I had a two month time period to work with starting in June but my surgery was scheduled for November.  Wishing you the best of luck with a surgery date.

Oh so sorry- hopefully it will all work out in the end. Maybe they will get a cancellation you can take that will work. That's how I got in before the end of the year which I needed for insurance purposes.

Or maybe you can switch with someone.
