how to handle the PMS cravings??

I've been doing so well, staying on plan, getting in protein and fluids and just doing what I should.   And now I just want to consume large amounts of chocolate, swaddle myself in a blanket and not leave the couch for three days.

I've eaten well all day...hit my protein goals, stayed focus....now I just want to drown in chocolate.  How do you keep yourself from doing this once a month???

This is probably the WRONG thing to say (because it has no real protein) but I have Russell Stover's SF peppermint patties and Weigh****chers ice cream with chocolate.  I don't fight it.  I do, however, manage it.  :)

I agree with MissK.  Cheat a little (and I mean a little).  It will satisfy your craving, and as long as you choose your cheat responsibly, you won't hate yourself for it later.  =-)

Good idea, I'll go looking for some responsible choices today.   I suppose just because a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup has some protein in it, I can't count that, right?

You could but I fear it would make you really sick!  Good luck!

I never craved chocolate, but I was a salt craver (is that even a word?). The only solution I know of is menopause . It worked for me!!!

How about some super dark chocolate and sugar-free hot cocoa?

Try these http://healthyindulgence.com/bonewise.jsp It is a chocolate vitamin the size of a half dollar. It is dark chocolate and quite good.

Check out the link above. Klondike has a small line of "No Sugar Added" items that all include chocolate and ice cream. I have one on occasion when I crave it. I prefer the vanilla bars because of the smooth chocolate surface--easy to eat and it has 4g protein per serving.

Moderation is key. Just don't go overboard.
