Starting liquid diet
But my surgery is next friday! Yay!!!! It is crazy to think it is next week already when I have been waiting for months!
Blend up some ice in it and some sugar free flavorings ...Like pepermint extract. Or a bit of instant decaff coffee... :) Play around with it...
YOUR ALMOST there !!! WOOHOOO happy dance!!

Some protein powders mix better than others. You might try to find samples of different brands. I find that ISO 100 by Dymatize mixes VERY well in a shaker bottle. The texture is not gritty, either. Very smooth, in my opinion. Berry is my fave. But, they come in many different flavors.
I have also seen people suggest adding a tablespoon or so of sugar free pudding powder to their protein shakes. I have not tried it yet, but it does sound yummy. Also, sugar free syrups.
Good luck!
I started my high protein, mostly liquid diet yesterday! So far so good! I can't believe we are only 11 days away...NEXT FRIDAY starts our new lives!!!!
For the past few months, I have been ordering different shakes online to try. I find the ready to drink ones are better than the powders, so far. Try CalNatural Svelte, Pure Protein or Orgain...they are all really good and give you anywhere from 16 to 35 grams of protein depending on brand. I order from LuckyVitamin.com...check out their website.
Good luck surgery buddy!
My liquid diet starts Wednesday but I have been replacing 2 meals with protein shakes since last Monday. I am loving them. I have been adding 2 scoops of protein powder, to 8 oz. of Skim Milk, 6 ice cubes, and adding fruit (banana is delish and I don't even love bananas that much!) and blend. I bought frozen fruit with no sugar added to add as well (with that I just leave out the ice since the fruit is frozen). If I feel it needs some sweetness, I'll add 1 package of truvia. But I've only needed to do that once. Now I rather do shakes than figure out what do have for my third meal, so I'm going to have to sort that out by the time I'm on solids post op. I'm hoping this carries me through my liquid diet though. It's one thing to choose to do a liquid diet, and another thing to be required! lol Anyway if your plan allows it try adding fruit! Good Luck :)
