I AM SO COLD

Did you lose 70 pounds in your first 6 weeks? That's so fast!!! I'm always hot, so being cold for a while might be alright, except that winter is coming...

I'm not as bad as you but I'm close. Just came home and turned the heat up to 74 degrees. My husband keeps a fan blowing on him as I'm roasting him alive! I use to be hot all the time. I don't know what I'm going to do when I lose more. I'm 166 and suspect I might make 140 in the end.
It's only now, 15 months later, that I am not icy cold all the time. Last Christmas I made DH buy me a pair of sheepskin lined slippers, which I still wore with socks. I still get chilled much more easily than before.
Get yourself some silk or silk/wool blend socks. Regular cotton won't cut it. And try mittens. Gloves leave my hands cold, but mittens give them a fighting chance. And layers, lots of layers. And a hot drink doesn't hurt either.
I fight badgers with spoons.

From my understanding, it's because the thyroid goes a little wacky with rapid weight loss. I could be wrong, though. For some people, it's permanent, but for others, it's just while losing weight. And then, there are those who never experience it.
I invested in a sherpa-lined hoodie from Old Navy, just to wear around the house and out (under my winter coat). I usually have my thick socks on, but if not, I'm layered up like it's nobody's business. I also bought an extra down alternative comforter to keep in the living room when I'm watching TV w/ my husband. We have one on our bed as well.
