surgery on wednesday still in the hospital

I am still here at the hospital. My surgeon said he just thinks I am very swollen he said sometimes younger tend to get more swollen. However finally tonight I able to get in some chicken broth and tea and keep it down! That was about 2 hours ago so hopefully the swelling is going down. Everything else is fine I am walking and doing my breathing exercises. I am about to start sipping some crystal light but it taste really sweet! I will keep everyone updated. Lets cross our fingers that its just swelling. Everything I have eaten up until tonight came right back up. The radiologist thought it might be an obstruction but my surgeon things just swelling. Im so ready to get home and get started

After surgery crystal light has tasted to sweet I have to double and triple dilute it. Hope you recover quickly

That sucks. Hope its just swelling. I know ur ready to get out of there! Good luck!

I can remember buying every type of crystal light singles there were as part of my 'stocking up' prior to surgery and after--I couldn't drink it--too sweet.  Now, I drink it all the time.  I also had to appetite at all for 4 months.

 

 

If I understood correctly, your surgeon said younger patients have more swelling? I have never heard that, and I guess I dont understand why that would be.

I did have a lot of swelling with my revision.  did they do 1 cut on you or 2 to remove the band and do the revision.
