Home From Hospital yesterday

Well I was discharged from the hospital yesterday at 11am, got home-sip, sip, sipping.

We layed down to sleep (hubby and I) and I woke up 2 times to go to the bathroom-each time sip, sip, sipping before going back to bed.

We got up at 7pm. Despite me getting up twice I still had a more relaxed sleep back in my own bed no one to wake me up for vitals etc..

I am using Adult tylenol for pain relief. I have another pain med if needed, but I am going to try and just use the Tylenol

Now, the challenge is being able to drink a liter of fluids daily.

I hope and will darn well try to do that daily. And from what I heard from my surgeon the protein drinks don't count in that Liter.

Welcome home.  If Tylenol works for you that would be best so you don't get constipated from narcotic pain meds.

You only have to drink a litre of fluids (4 cups)?  I have to drink 2 litres, however any liquid counts towards it including protein drinks. (as long as they are decaf)

May your recovery go smoothly.

Welcome home.    Were you able to sleep and get in and out of bed ok by yourself?  I'm really nervous about that and thinking I needs to buy an electric recliner.   How did you make out?

My surgery was Monday,  I was concerned about getting out of bed but it really hasn't been an issue,.   It's not pretty but it works,  Getting out of the recliner has been a little painful at times but not bad enough to fork out money for a new chair,  "This too shall pass".

Good to know.   Thank you and congratulations on your surgery as well.
