flu

I would think that as you are posting on here, and socialising, you have a common cold and not flu! Treat your symptoms and you'll be fine in a couple of days.
Anything with Tylenol is ok to take but check the amounts in each if you take several remedies - Acetaminophen is very hard on your liver which is already working overtime with your drastic weight loss.
As long as your daughter doesn't have a persistent fever, her surgery can go ahead as scheduled. I would advise lots of hand washing and not too much contact!!!

My whole family has the flu right now. Two kids and my hubby. As long as their fevers are controlled they are playing with new toys and my hubby has been posting on his poker forums just fine. And it is the flu. My son got sick first and tested positive for influenza type A. I am just praying I don't get it now!
As long as your daughter keeps her distance and is not showing symptoms the day of surgery she should be ok. Just wash hands like crazy and cover mouths. And try to not spend much time together. Good luck and hope you feel better.

I had to postpone my surgery due to having the flu. My surgeon said as long as my fever was under control I would be fine. My PCP said the risk of pneumonia would be too high if I went in with a serious lung infection. I started tamiflu immediately, but I still cancelled. I didnt want to risk it.
Just try to stay away from each other, wash your hands, wear a mask if you are near each other, etc. And at the very first signs of flu, go to your doctor for a test! If there are any doubts, call your surgeon.
