1 year post op..pics
As of today I'm 1 year out from my RNY..it's been a crazy ride so far! I have learned so much more on this support board than I ever did from my surgeon. My road has been very bumpy..I had a hiatal hernia repair with my RNY, 4 months later I had my gallbladder removed and 2 months ago I had a petersen hernia repaired that could have killed me had it not been from the quick action of my surgeon. The last surgery has left me second guessing if I have traded my obesity/pcos/diabetes for unexpected surgeries and life threatening complications. I am currently struggling with my body image and feel like I am developing a full blown eating disorder..that being said..I have an appointment coming up with my surgeon and my nut and I'm going to start going to a monthly support meeting as well as get in contact with a mental health professional.
On to the juicy info now..my HW was 280, I was 267 at surgery I've been floating around 132-134 over the last week. I feel like maybe I am done losing weight..however we will see. My jeans range in size from 2-4, tops are S-M. I absolutely feel like I could stand to lose another 10-15lbs but everyone around me says that is just from my distorted image of myself since I still feel like the biggest person in the room all the time. My husband has been an amazing support figure..I couldn't imagine going through this without him. He has lost approx. 75lbs just from our eating habits changing. Thank you all so much for your support throughout this journey so far.

you are one good looking family, before and after. I wouldn't have guessed your after with your before you look like a whole new person. and Your hubby is looking great too! Better yet I'm guessing you both feel great and keep up with those adorable munchkins now! WTG!

I was so looking forward to your 1 yr post! You look WONDERFUL!!!!!!! TINY and FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I totally get the distorted body image feeling as well... I find it to be the hardest part of this whole thing! You have been through sooo much this last year, I can only imagine the toll that would take on your mind let alone your body. You look so beautiful and great! and your husband looks wonderful as well! Congrats and HAPPY 1 YEAR!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers to a healthy 2013!
