Please tell me some of you out there didnt lose any hair...
Sorry, but I lost a lot of hair in spite of taking Biotin and getting in plenty of protein and vitamins. I'm a year out, and I've pretty much stopped losing but it hasn't started growing back yet, either.
Maybe I would have lost MORE hair if I hadn't taken the Biotin. Too bad there's no way to tell. (Maybe if identical twins had surgery on the same day and one took it and the other didn't?)

Yeah, every time someone claims that something prevented them from losing as much hair or helped it stop faster, it makes me want to scream! How do they know how much hair they would have lost without it (since that is extremely variable from one person to another) and how do they know when it would have stopped even without that miracle vitamin, chemical, shampoo or whatever"?!? It's illogical and completely anecdotal.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
FWIW, my nails are definitely stronger since I've been taking the Biotin. I doubt that surgery alone would account for that. :) And I have lots of chin hair, but I had that before surgery, too. My little electric chin razor gets lots of use.

I am almost 5 months out and have been losing massive amounts of hair since month 3. I take all my vitamins and protein. I have so many thin spots in the front that I now use root color spray to spray to color in my scalp so it's not so noticeable. My hair was so thick pre-surgery. If I have to I will invest in some wigs and cut my hair short. Losing all this weight is still worth it!!
